1998 Eddie Bauer edition 2WD 281,000+. with the rear air suspension and an f250 rear end.

Okay so the first issue is a click coming from the back of the vehicle when moving under 10 MPH. It just started about a week ago and i have no idea what it could be. i checked my breaks and pads seem fine and rotors need replace but nothing looks like its causing it to click.

The second issue is every once in a blue moon, but after i put the vehicle in park it continues to role as if its in neutral. is that a trans problem? because my shift linkage was repaired about a year ago and seems fine for every other gear selection. This has only occurred twice but it wouldn't be too fun to wake up and find my expy in my neighbors living room because it rolled down my driveway.

And last but not least, for my vehicle to shift gears i often have to remove my foot completely from the accelerator pedal to allow it to shift. I'm almost positive that its just a bad throttle position sensor so i'm not too worried about that one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Brandon11403486_1026636577361518_191704242400523446_n.jpg

The click is not so bothersome but the park issue is. Auto trans have a pawl that wedges itself when you shift in park. Have the trans repaired and always bring two wheel chocks to prevent accidental movement.

If the trans is original it is showing its age with the shifting issue, start saving for a rebuild. If it has been swapped out already, I would check the condition / color of the trans fluid and make sure it isn't burnt or dirty. The throttle position sensor is only an input to the pcm, there isn't a direct connection to the trans.
