Ok gents, anyone know, besides a junk yard, where I could find a tag light bracket for a 2003 Expedition? I've googled around a bit and see the electrical connector but need that and mounting bracket.

The hatch has 2 and one complete light plugin is missing, so it failed inspection for that, and some suspension stuff....

Edit:

Question #2, how do I access the backside of that plastic "lip" that the tag lights are mounted at?

It feels like it could come off, or do I have to remove the inside panel of the back hatch?

Awesome! I couldn't find anything but the old style when the plate was on the rear bumper. I'll order a couple of those.

Also, how do I install them? Does the plastic trim on the hatch that those are mounted to remove from the exterior? Or do I have to remove the panel on the interior of the hatch?

You don't have to remove anything to install them. There is one plastic screw and retainer per lens. Just remove the lens and install the new one

That will work, if I can find the wiring and dig it out....

The one side of completely missing.

Just to wrap this up, the issue has been resolved.

The other connector for the light bulb was up in the hatch a bit, pulled it through the hole and used 2 screw drivers to give a little access to that exterior trim without having to remove the interior panel, used a long skinny knife to move the connector back to the other side and it was done.

Both tags lights now working, now just to get the inner right tie rod and right upper control arm replaced for inspection.
