New here decide to register finally. So as the title states can it be done? I know some body work will be needed for the door area but what about core support etc.? I just ran into this pic on the raptor forum but was wondering if a full blown oem replica front clip kit from Fiberwerx would be able to be modified to fit and look good. I have already looked at good prerunner suspension kits with king coilovers, arms and spindles for up front that rival the real raptor. The rear I found some King coil overs resis that will lift the rear 2-3.5" lift with the rear 5 link irs. If not an axle swap from a real raptor will be in play. I know a lot of fab work will be involved but I want an suv style raptor, got kids and a crew cab raptor will not cut it. Engine wise im looking at an edelbrock supercharger and full flow headers with electronic full flow exhaust bypass Im gonna jump into this project here in July. Am I way over my head and gonna throw to much money into something that will not work or can I throw my kids college fund at it! haha

Its an 07 Navigator nothing but stock form, point is wifey wants an EL Navi or EL Expy and this ones gonna be mine to mess with. No air suspension to mess with and no 4wd on it either. I am planning on doing a lot to it. Meaning removing all the Lincoln stuff like the rear gate and swapping the steerin wheel out and badging and effectively converting it to a Raptor lookin rig and capable of backing its looks. My daily is this 08 F250. Fabrication is not new to me, the 250 has been 4 linked and coilovered up front and rides like a dream.

Well with your history of fab work, I think it could be done. How long and at what cost I have no idea. This is a very cool concept and be sure to keep us posted here with any developments!

Fella named Tim Husky just north of Oklahoma City has been building Raptor-based 7 passenger SUV's (with Ford & Excursion parts) for a few years now. Like all of his conversions, they look 100% factory. Stretched Super Duty's and "new" Excursions are his specialty, but he's churned out plenty of these Raptor SUV's to those who can afford em. Building your own is definitely possible.

Yeah I have s3en those 1 the price is insane!!! 2 Im really not digging the whole excursion clip to the back... make more sense to clip an expy EL rear??? Well i been trying to get a hold of someone at fiberwerx to see if they can graft the rear fender area of the expy to the 04 raptor oem kit they have.... if not i will have to find a good body shop to blend the door jams in!

FWIW I'm running Icon 2.5s in the front and they are night and day different over the stock. I don't have raptor travel but I have all you would want to do in a 6,200 lb SWB truck. I'm going to do some Icon's in the rear this summer if I can get some type of load leveling worked out.

Yeah when I coil overed my 250 it mad3 such a big different, it rides like a caddy now!!! Was planning on coiling the rear but now i want to jump into this project and make it happen. I know many people want one. I figure if I can get this one all worked out right I may buy some expys and do.the same and sell them. I use king shocks for my builds and get them valved and tuned by down south motorsports. Essentially we found out that the rear and front struts essentially mount the same sonwere gonna try a front set of kings with a lower spring rate see how that works out.

UPDATE!!! I want everyone to know that this project has not been abandoned but is still continuing. I was deployed about 8 months ago earlier than expected and just got back. Wanted to share some information. I have been in contact with Mcneil Racing Fiberglass and they have a 97 F150 OEM raptor kit that guess what.... also bolts on to our EXPY'S!!!! Price is $2000 for full front kit. Still need to source an OEM Raptor grille though and headlights which I already have! Oh and also it will be going on an 07 EL Black Limited That I recently purchased for my wife. Still have the Navigator also... still messing with that one. I see good things in our future with these kits fellas. Here are some pics on it installed on a 97 extended cab and crew cab F150. Check out the page on the site here https://www.mcneilracinginc.com/pro...-to-raptor-conversion-kit?variant=19847257671
