Hi Folks,

in our group we have now a 1997 eddie, without airride now, but spiral springs.
so far so good:

the question is: how to make possible to shift in 4x4low without the airride system?

greetings from good ol' germany

Low range and air ride are not connected.
I have removed the air ride from my '98 and it shifts just fine.

Remember to have tranny in neutral while depressing the brake pedal to shift into 4x4 low.

Hello,

thank you for your answer. i already know about ne circumstances to shift in low. works in my ex very fine, but it has still its airride. ok, so the failure is anywhere else?

i have recognized, that 4x4low is connected with several electrical circuits.. so we ha have to look again. badly i have no idea. does your "check suspension" - lamp appear?

I highly doubt this is any help because I'm completely clueless with the workings of the air ride but could it be that when you shift it to 4low its signals the air ride to go max height for ground clearance??? Maybe? I'm sure someone knows forsure if they're connected in any way, shape or form!
