On my new 2016 Limited the Nav system will not allow my passenger to edit a destination when the vehicle is in motion. I know they do this to avoid the driver from fiddling with it when he should be driving but there should be a way to allow the passenger to do this when driving.

In our situation, my wife is deaf so she cannot use the voice commands. If she wants to set up a destination she needs to wait until I stop the car.

Is there any way to bypass the motion sensor on this car?

Thanks!

i think lockpick has a set up to bypass the in motion limits.

I am having issue with voice and trying to say a DARN city, without a street. I go caught in a bad storm and was trying to reroute away using sync, finally just drove until i found a safe place to stop

Wow, that LockPick thing looks cool... I might have to run that past the CFO and see what she says.

I don't have the rear DVD player, would it allow me to watch DVD's on the Nav Screen from the optical drive?

I have a Lockpick in my '12 Expedition KR since 2012. Does exactly what you want it to do, and it allows me to turn on backup camera while moving so I can check on the trailer I occasionally pull. It's rather pricey, however. It also allows you to watch DVD movies while moving as well
