Hello all. New here. Long time Ford owner. Former (10 years) Marauder forum user...

I've searched around regarding raising 3rd gen explorers and find several recommendations and experiences.

Regardless of the method used, CV joints in front and rear will be at greater angles. What has been the experience with wear and longevity on CV joints (especially front) with 3rd Gen lifted expeditions?

Any and all experiences welcome!

Thanks!

Ok
I have been 3" lifted over two years. Approx 25,000 miles and a total of 38,000 on the vehicle. No abnormal signs of wear yet.

But it is assumed.

I have 3" in the front on my 2010 expy and I have no problem. Might want to upgrade the shocks it takes the smooth ride away.

Also buy the bolt in LVL kit not the rubber.

What did you do in the rear?

Nothing yet about to put 2.5 in the rear. but lifting the rear should take the pressure off the front control arm.
