Ok to use this terminal for " 12V Ignition " source?

If you are still asking about terminal 2 for the controller - no. You need to source a "hot in run" circuit.

See attached diagrams:
013-008 (C, D, E, F, G)
013-012 (C)
013-013 (D)
013-014 (G)
013-017 (E)
013-018 (F)

I would look for the daytime running lamp relay block (151-005) and use that since you will not normally need access to it for anything else. Plus it is close to the fans anyway. Connect your circuit up, tie the wires in place and forget about them if done correctly. Then when you need access to the battery junction box you don't have wires in the way and still preserve the factory neatness.

Thanks for the pdf's. I am placing the fan controller in the center console and had to remove the CD Changer, because of this I actually found a " 12V Ignition On " source from the CD Changer harness. Now I don't have to use that relay socket and it frees me up to install that relay incase I want to use the Towing Batt Charge Circuit.

Now on to " Ground ". I now need to find some good " chassis ground " points for the controller. I have found some bolts both in and outside the cab of the vehicle with green colored tops on them, are these colored green so as to use them for grounding points? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I know green in the world of electronics stands for ground, I just did not know if it did in this case. Thanks

Could you tap a branch circuit there - yes. But that isn't the best way to do it. If the battery junction box has a positive lug on one end you could tie the circuit in there and run the wire with the existing harness, just zip tie it in place.

For terminals, use only the higher quality "crimp - solder - heat shrink" type. These are almost indestructible if attached correctly but cost more than the junk terminals most auto parts stores carry.

+1 Definitely worth spending a few dollars and a few minutes more. Good luck!

So I completed my fan install tonight. I was able to fire up the Expy and the new electric fans/controller kept everything right around 200deg F at the thermostat housing and 170-175deg F at the lower radiator hose at idle ( using my infrared temp gun ). I will start a thread about my install ( with pics ) sometime tomorrow, stay tuned!
