Not a bad price. My leather is in decent shape but I've been thinking the foam could use some help.

My front passenger seat's leather feels like crap. It's hard and dried out. It feels more like the padded vinyl dashboard on my old '82 Chevy Celebrity (my first car) than a leather seat.

I've thought about getting them both recovered in some nice, supple leather, but then I remember this truck is 16 years old and less than 1000 miles from cracking 200,000 miles. I don't know if I really want to spend that kind of money on it.

Mine was torn through and irritating my legs. Most of hte leather in the front is cracked because the PO obviously never treated it with anything. The foam was in good shape. I think the Seat Shop carries new foam. My foam was in good shape, part of why it didn't seem good is there is 1/2 foam stitched to the leather which was completely broken down and the seat was so bad it wasn't helping the foam hold its shape. This would could have been a little tighter. I noticed the back strap was a little loose so I used hog rings to snug it up. Could just be my foam was worn down. Either way it worked fine and I don't have a huge hole under my right leg. I'm with you though, its a tough decision as to what to do. I have a 2015 Explorer and I can already see where the leather is going to wear out just from getting in and out. I love the Explorer, but frankly I like driving the Expy more for some stupid reason. I swear if I could drop a 5 or 6 speed auto tranny in it, it would be perfect.

While crawling around under the truck I noticed an unapproved housing development inside the frame near the front bumper. No one was home, so demolition began immediately (via metal coat hanger). I imagine the local rodent population was taking advantage of the fact that my truck has spent a lot of time in the driveway this past week while I try to find some time to replace a leaking heater hose.

I ordered some parts today. One of my heater hoses is leaking and another is starting to become a little deformed, so I'm just going to replace all 3 hoses while I have the cooling system (mostly) empty.
