We just installed a front brush guard on our 2015 Expedition because of the heavy wildlife in our area(I've hit deer and elk 4 times so far), but now every time the car is put into drive, the front parking sensor goes off. Is there any was to PERMANENTLY turn off the sensor? A temporary pop-up comes on the screen to turn off the sensor, but once the car is turned off, it resets and beeps every time I drive. Thanks for any help you can give, Rose

I have a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4. Perhaps you can ask your dealer if the feature can be turned off permanently?

Since new, my Expedtion front parking sensors will intermittently sound a warning while I am driving and there is nothing close to my front end. I have checked to ensure the sensors are clean and nothing is covering them (such as bugs). I had my dealer check the system and of course received the "no codes" answer. The vehicle has never been wrecked or damaged.

I have wanted to do the same thing and was considering moving the blocked sensors to the light mounts on the brush guard. I am trying to figure out a housing for the mounts. Will report back once I have some results.

On my new 2016, there is an on/off function on the left side steering wheel control. But I think it may have changed from 2015.

FWIW, if you consult an insurance adjuster regarding brush guards they will tell you that they typically reduce the amount of damage in a minor accident, but have the potential to increase the amount of damage in a more serious accident due to the fact that they transfer the brunt of the impact from the body panels to the frame. I have no personal experience either way, but a few adjusters told me such and it seems reasonable. I like them anyway. :p

I'll look back through past threads. Someone said they were going to relocate the sensors to the brush guard and cover them with chrome paint. I never heard back if they were successful.
