New member here alright I have a 2000 ford expedition Eddie bauer xlt and it is idling very rough it'll fluctuate from 400-900 it says cylinder misfire 1 and 7 and also says 02 sensors here my thing my exhaust has rusted out from the muffler if I change the 02. Sensors will that help my idle problem even tho my exhaust isn't right I just did all new plugs and I'll replace the coil packs on 1 and 7 bit what should I do about the 02 sensors I need my truck back due to moving and having two kids thanks guys also any other ideas to help with the idle it drives and accelerates great

Are there any codes is the check engine light on. I would look for vacuum leaks the biggest culprit PCV system

You have emissions inspections in Indiana so at some point you're going to have to address the exhaust issue. It's entirely possible there is nothing wrong with your O2 sensor(s) and the other issues are triggering the O2 code. I would do the 2 coils and the exhaust (since you know for certain these are problematic), reset the CEL, and then see what pops up.

Hello I'm new to the group. I just bought a 2000 expedition n have replace the coils n it's still running rough. No get up n go to it. N e suggestions. This pcv thing where is that exactly?

See my other reply to your other thread. Also think about investing in an OBD Code Reader.
