Issue #1 and most concerning (can't afford a new transmission).
Under heavy city driver (lots of stopping and starting). I've noticed the transmission lurch into 1st gear when slowing down. It's a pretty obvious jerk motion into first.
2nd problem with transmission: a few times now during city driving I've felt and heard a pretty audible "clunk"
I need to do a fluid and filter change (130k). Any thoughts on what's causing my ailments? And yes, I realize the filter and fluid change may not help my problem.

Issue #2 BLower motor
As soon as you turn on anything with the ETAC it blows on high and is not controllable. I can't shut it off either. I have to hit the off button and then shut of the vehicle for it to turn off. I've looked up a few things for this but i'm trying to narrow down exactly what needs to be replaced (part number????)

Thanks for your help.

Don't know about trans but the air issue is more than likely your blower motor resistor really easy to replace.

Thanks. I think I read on here about people splicing into the wiring to fix this. Isn't a new blower control module around $60-$70??

I don't know if what you're experiencing in your particular instance is normal. However, it is (unfortunately) normal for the vehicle to thunk into first gear when coming to a stop. It almost feels like another vehicle gently bumping you. It's, generally, only noticeable when slowly coming to a stop. It's disconcerting and I don't think it bodes well for long-term reliability of the 6R80, but it is normal.

Part # YH-1829 is $79.38 from 2 of 3 local dealers ($110+ from the third). It's $36.26 on Amazon.

You might also check the molex under the dash near the blower motor. The large wire on mine had got hot enough a few times to partially melt the part of the plug so the fan would quit at random times. I ordered a replacement through fordparts.com .

I had same issue, melted plug, blower pulls to much with age. I read about moving ground also but since mine is 2010 with 100K I opted to R/R the module, pigtail, & blower motor all from rock auto. I left the pig tail wires long in case I want to reground later, but everything lasted this long so I doubt it's needed. Replaceing everything was about an hour.

My 2011 tranny does the slow and clunk too. 55k miles, fluids always changed. It's a Ford....
I took my 2011 KR EL to the dealer for the same type tranny issue and they flash the programing and it definetly made a differance. Much happier now.
