The problem about trying to find a fuse box or a circuit board is that you could end up with an older board or box that could be just waiting to fail.. The new fuse boxes have been improved. and hopefully the problem has been resolved.

The fuse box that is currently in my 04 has a mfg. date of 2012 on it so that tells me the original box has been replaced somewhere in the past.

I also would be concerned if you have the original fuel pump with the mileage you have on the expy.
Can you enlighten me on the process to jump the fuel pump relay? I am thinking you are tapping into the FP wire before the fuse panel, then picking it back up in that plug that heads to the fuel pump with the green/yellow wire?

Go back and look at the video by the ford tech that I gave you the link for Post #7

At the 6:08 mark you will see he is pointing to the DG/YE wire directly to the left of his finger in the other connector you will see a solid RED wire. Use a jumper (I used a thick paper clip) and jumper the red wire to the DG/YE wire. The only time that the jumper will have power is when the key is in the run position. All that is being done is the contacts for the fuel pump relay are being jumped.

Make sure that all connectors are connected back to the fuse box

Again there will be no power going to the fuel pump when the key if off so no worry

How long will the truck run with a jumper wire from that solid red over to the Gr/yel if the fp relay fails?
