Hi all, I'm new to Fords here. My family has been Chevy driven for years and I broke the ice and bought my fire departments 1999 Ford Expedition XLT 5.4L V8. It has 82,000 miles. A bit of rust on the frame. I tried putting rustoleum rust dissolver on it but that did nothing. I am going to try it with a wire brush and if it works I am going to coat the frame with epoxy paint. There's some rust on the fenders that I am going to try and stop it from spreading and then put fender flares over it. I am wondering if anyone has a bug guard, fender flares, wheel spacers, or tow mirrors that could replace the factory ones. Also, if there are any tps anyone has on keeping it running strong that's much appreciated! Thanks for all the help!

Welcome to the site.

Following the oem maintenance schedule and using quality fluids and filters that meet or exceed specs will increase the ice of the vehicle. The specs are included with the owners manual which is available online.
