bump on downshift gone?

I recently traded for my 07 Expy Limited and wasn't thrilled to see that it had a slight bump or hard downshift when coming to a stop. Checking around told me that was pretty normal and since it was not a real problem I decided to ignore it. We took a trip pulling our new to us rv (the reason I had to trade) and when we got home I realized that the bump downshift was gone.
I'm not complaining just wondering if anyone else had had that happen.

The grease in the driveshaft splines gets old and doesn't lubricate properly anymore. That's why you're getting the bump. I've noticed the same thing after a long trip it no longer does it for a day or two then comes back. Maybe because of the heat on a longer trip I'm not sure.

I have the same thing on my 07 EB. Hard shift/ stutter when coming to a stop. It doesnt seem to do it when its cold. only when it warms up.
SHould I be concerned about this?
