Electric Fan Swap Info Wanted

is there any info on here about doing it. like to try to save some gas and have the extra power when i wont it.what electric fans with work from what makes or models like to get something from the wrecking yard also would an after market fan relay kit work or maybe just hook the fan/fans to a toggle switch

Windstar fans supposedly work.

There's a couple threads on here about how people have done the switch. I'd go with a relay kit/fan controller of some kind. A toggle switch would work but if you forgot or someone else was driving it.......

Use a relay that is controlled by the toggle switch since the fans have a high current draw. Most switches will burn out in short order unless they are rated for the amount of draw.
