I have a 2016 Expedition limited. The standard headlight config is low beam projector halogen and high reflector halogen. The issue is the fog lights are LED. The color temps dont match and it drives me nuts. I just bought some sylvania silverstar zxe to see if they would be white enough, but they look just as yellow as the OEM.

Has anyone come across a bulb that is whiter? I'm thinking 6000k or above. I'm open to LED but want to keep the stock housings and have the lows and highs match the fogs.

post pics with the lights on...most likely the LEDs are at 5K...that is the white u see in factory HIDs...when u go higher...6k...8k...10k u actually lose light output...not as bright...AND adds color to the light so it gets more blue in color then goes to purple when u reach 12k...so u prob have 4300K which is close to halogen color and 5k will be "white"

The fog lights are 6000k. I just upgraded my headlights to 6000k LED's in the reflector housing and they match exactly. Totally changed my headlight game. Light output is incredible now!!! Highly recommended!!

I've been running Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 2008/H13 bulbs in my '12 Ltd since new. They are only 65W, but that's as much juice as it takes and more watts means more heat and potentially melted plastic. The Ultras have a nice cut off and are significantly brighter than OEM. For $25 a pair if you shop on-line auctions and only two retaining nuts on each side, it's a bargain that is easy to be happy with.

I tried the silverstars but the color temp is only 4200k and looks really yellow compared to the LED fog lights.

The real issue isn't the amount of light output, it's more about vanity.

Which Model of Expedition do you have? Did you replace both the high and low beams? I have an XLT, did you use the

KHPH116K H11-40W CREE LED Headlight Conversion Kit-Pair for the low beams?

and the

XHPH90056K 9005-40W CREE LED Headlight Conversion Kit-Pair for the high beam?
