Led Rope Lights "Idea"

Got the idea to buy one of those cheap priced ebay led light strip kits like 300 leds.Running them down the rocker panel.since iv taken the running boards off I have the og wiring harness for the running board lights so I can just tap into them for the power supply.

What color should I go with hummm ? Thinking bright white also had idea of running amber and spice into running lights but I don't think I want to do that

In my experience with the cheap chinese led lights is that they start flickering or just plain go out within 2 months of install. I would advise paying a little more for some good quality lights with some kind of warranty if possible.

they go out i just buy more lol there not that expensive and easy to replace

Once you mount everything and get it all nice and tidy, trust me you're not gonna want to repeat the process so often especially when freezing weather hits then they'll be just dead weight for a few months... Just saying

Plus you have to make sure the light rope is for a 12V DC power source not a house use based version that runs on 120V AC

I have a strip of multi colored on my camper now for 2 seasons. They have a remote to change the colors. They have a 120v power adapter, but are also 12v.
Got them on Amazon

those sound like the ones i got to make up an atv light whip and it lasted me for a good long time i added some heat srink on it for added protection that's what i'll do if i do this mod and i got some clear tubes here idk what there for but be perfect to slid em in after the heat srink is on
