Took the alternator out today that was pretty easy and it was confirmed that the "grinding like noise" i was hearing while it was running was coming from it "bad bearing" but while i was trying to get the SERPENTINE BELT TENSIONER to move so i could get belt off alternator pulley i noticed it was really hard and felt like it was sticky,i just thought it was that way so when i went to get belt back on alternator pulley there was no tension on the belt, so i worked the TENSIONER to were it would and ended up breaking the aluminium right were the ratchet is supposed to go in it to losing the belt.

Aren't they suppose to be spring loaded and spring back to tighten up with no issues sticking or binding

I had the opposite. I watched mine get absolutely coated in dust by the a**hole that owns the field adjacent to our property. He had the chute directed right at our property. Last year he painted our vehicles in pesticide with a crop dusting plane.

Money talks. He gets away with a lot because he's in with the cops/local politicians and because he owns about $7 million worth of land in an area where the median annual income is $40K. Heck, his family even has a street named after them on which his business sits. Nonetheless, we already filed a complaint with the EPA last year and I have a call into the Zoning Officer now. Something needs to be done.

Man it's only dust, rain will wash it off.

That isn't the point. The point is that this guy routinely and purposefully disrespects his neighbors simply because he can. He could have turned the chute the other way, but he chose not to simply because he "doesn't have to." When he flew his crop dusting plane 30 feet above our home and our neighbors' homes it wasn't because he had to; it was because he legally didn't have to fly it any higher. When he painted ME and our vehicles in pesticide it wasn't a mistake; it was negligence. Ditto for when one of his drivers ran me off the road while texting (he runs a local ride-on mower repair place). This guy just has a long history of douchebaggery.

Any other tips? I have to do mine soon. How long did it take you?
spray the bolts with sea foam deep creep and let it sit overnight before you do the job, makes it much much easier.

I sprayed all 8 fastening points on the front and rear shocks and they all let go fairly easily.
