Ok look i got 2003 expo eddie bower and i hooked up a Boss audio head unit ,dvd,Bluetooth, radio ext.. Well heres the thing. How do i hook up the back sub to it. I know its powered by a amp so what do i do.

It should be playing...go through your settings Cuzco I didn't have to do a thing when I swapped in my pioneer

How did u hook it up. I get a humming sound. It plays and i can hear bass but also humming.

U have a bad ground somewhere...did u use a harness between the factory plugs and radio?

No there is no harness just stright wires. So i should reground it sum where else. I was using the ground from the radio.

The head unit should have a separate ground write...make sure that is grounded properly...to the basket of the head unit or good spot in the truck...the biggest problem is not using a wiring harness...that makes sure all wires will be connected that need to...then all u would need to do is wire the head unit to the harness wires...I'd suggest wiring the factory back and buy a harness...the sub would work then as long as you select the right settings for the sub to play...in my pioneer I have 2 settings and one of them will not turn on the sub...the other will...sub out our full....

No problem...I get my harnesses from Crutchfield but u can get it from anywhere u want

Ok man got it. Just regrounded it the spliced a rca to it factory wires and plugged it into the sub out and works perfectly now. Thanks.
