Hey all
Just replaced all 3 trans cooler lines on my Expy. Easy and straight forward. Had a leak from a rusted out connection and now im good to go!

I replaced the upper one, but my lower trans line is rusted and I want to replace it. It's rusted together with the quick disconnect fitting on the radiator so I need to replace the fitting as well. Do you have to do this as well?

Yes...i replaced all fittings and quick connects. I was lucky enough to get them with the lines i bought off ebay...i got a good deal $75 for all 3 lines and connections. I guess it was a salvage guy i got them from. I didnt wanna screw up my disconnect tool so i just snapped the line and put a 27mm socket on it!

Great, that's just what I wanted to know. Now all I have to worry about is that the threaded end of the fitting is rusted into the radiator. I have the line and fitting sitting in the garage but I've been putting it off for a while. I'll do it when I change my trans fluid and filter. Thanks

Gives me some confidence because yours were worse than mine are. Did you have clearance issues removing the lower fitting? I was worried about breaking the radiator or screwing up the female threads when removing the fitting. I know the upper line is high pressure and the lower line is return (lp) so the lower is much less likely to leak anyway.

No Clearance problem what so ever...pushed up on the mud guard and slide the 27mm socket on
