Everybody needs a stress reliever. I used to like going for a ride on my street bike.

Hi there, I have a replacement brake booster in hand, I have removed the 4 bolts that hold the booster to the firewall, but I can't disconnect the booster from the brake pedal. The retainer is round and surrounded by Pale blue plastic. It is not a clip like on older fords.
Anybody know how to disconnect it? See attached photo from under the dashboard.

I found if you put a very small flat blade screwdriver between the metal and plastic piece, you can pop out the metal part. however, the blue bushing has barbs on the end and won’t come out. It’s meant to be a one time use piece. So make sure you buy one. It’s a 2L523 part number. About $7.
