For some reason my interior lights will not turn on, either with door opening or using the slider dim switch next to the steering wheel. Each individual light works if I push it on. I changed fuse number 12 (it wasn't broken), but still no joy. Lights were working fine until a few weeks ago.

My Suburban used to have an interior light disable switch, does this one possibly have that and I accidentally hit it? Do I need to check another fuse?

If not can anyone think of why this is occurring?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Jeff

you cant disable them like days in the past.
sounds like you have a module issue,
take it in and let warranty fix it.

Isn't there an option in setting to have the lights come on when you open the doors? I'd be surprised if it's a mechanical issue, but you never know.

there used to be a "blackout" if you will that would prevent dome lights and puddle lights from coming on with doors open. just had to rotate the knob to the off position, still had instruments lights.
when they changed from a rotary switch to the digital switch we lost the feature, unless you have a police specd unit or in the diagnostics menu when plugged into the ford computer you can select the blacked out.

Pages 75 and 76 in the 17 owner's manual talk about the interior lights. It says you can turn them on by pressing and holding the top of the instrument panel dimmer switch. It also says that if the doors are open for 10 minutes the lights will switch off after 10 minutes but I know that isn't what you are asking.

Yeah, that's an odd one..

You might want to check the left hand settings & enable the easy-exit because it's supposed to light up all the lights as well as moving the seat & steering column & petals

Advanced Vehicle Easy Entry / Exit - check enabled or uncheck disabled

Select time-interval-Lighting Autolamp Delay

good luck!!

I had a similar problem with my interior lights. Turned out that my grandson while playing with the switches turned the interior/dashboard dimmer switch all the way down so all the lights appeared to not work.
