Check out diode dynamics if you do decide to go with bulbs. I'm actually thinking about building my own led panels to retro into these but haven't had much time to get stock together.

Thanks Gixer, they are really proud of their diodes. :)

Hi Andy,

Keep in mind that on 2012 and newer Expys that you can't change the turn signal flasher relay to fix hyperflashing. there isn't one. It's current sense on the blinkers is controlled by the SMB and not adjustable (to my knowledge.) I ran into that on my '12 and ended up putting in the resistors.

Thanks Warren. I heard it is possible to turn off the bulb out warning (hyper flash) in the BCM (Body Control Module). The dealer has to connect their laptop to the BCM and just toggle it off. So that's what I'm going to ask about the next time I'm at the dealership. I printed the PDF from the link above and will take it with me next time.

Hmmm... BCM, good to know. Thanks!

Now I have to decide it I want to lose the burnt-out-bulb detection versus the power resistors. I figured out a way to mount the resistors so that they wouldn't melt anything so I'll probably stick with the resistors since I like the bulb out warning.

Thanks again,
Warren

You can also do it with FORScan yourself. If I was closer to you I would do it for you.

The mobile version can't do any programming. The Windows version can. I use a wireless ODBII Module that supports MSCAN(How Ford Specific modules talk). I ALWAYS save a module as is before I change anything, just in case.
Thanks Loki, that's sound advice. Whenever I work on a web site, I'll copy the HTML code to a notepad so I can change back if I can't get my code to work.

Do you have a specific ODBII Module that you like to use or can I just find one on Amazon?

I will get my model info when I leave for lunch. I am not a fan of using the cheap chinese knock off ones. Had 2 go bad relatively quick. Bought a Brand name this time around, and it has not dropped a beat, and I have done A LOT of programming on the Edge with it.

Okay thanks, that's why I asked, it is always better to buy you you know is going to work than to experiment with junk. :)
