Good day Gents,

so it all started 2 weeks ago (check engine light showed up) and my expy would not shift to 3rd gear. if i go 50 mph (80 kph) the car will lose power, as if it is in neutral gear. and sometimes it shifts into 3rd gear just fine but it feels heavier. also when i am at a complete stop on a red light and the gear is in D i can see the RPM going up and down sometime it feels like the car is about to stall. (happens in D & R) neutral is fine no probs.

things i did so far:
* Checked all fuses in Central fuse Box and Hood Fuse Box. (All fuses are fine)

* Changed the Engine oil.

* I ran an OBD 2 test and it showed this Computer Fault (P1714)

i thought about changing the transmission oil but i read online that it might **** up your transmission.

small search on google about the fault code: P1714 showed (SSA Inductive Signature Malfunction)

WTH is SSA Inductive Signature Malfunction??????

anyone faced a problem like this before?

i will try to keep this post updated until the problem is solved.
thx in advance.

That code is shift solenoid 1 malfunction.

Clear the code, do a drive cycle test and check for codes again. If the code re-appears, replacement of the shift solenoid is likely.

Seems to be a technical issue you're having with the transmission, not mechanical... Just to ease your heart it is highly likely you will NOT need to be rebuilt the trans, just solenoids replaced.

i cleared the fault by using the OBD 2 app "torque" the check engine light disappeared but the shifting problem is still there, i will change the shift solenoid and see what happens!

***super late update***

Hello again,

so i fixed the problem... the issue was the "solenoid valve assembly" mine was plugged and full of sludge also the power connector was super dirty.

The gearbox/transmission is fine.

i bought this one from ebay and it's working fine. (installed on march 20th) so far so good.
