I have been trying to identify a vibration which felt like the front end. i attempted things like engine mounts and steering box which i couldnt finish and needed a mechanic to complete. i just put caliper grease on my ebrake and found significant improvement in the wobble i eas trying to identify and spent a lot on repairs with no one able to even notice what im complaining about. i will have a mechanic put nee pads in soon however significant improvement. noticeable at 70 more than rough roads this vibration was really frustrating me. i am haopy to have this forum to share my issue with people. so to be more specific i put caliper grease on the drum and and inner rotor. the drum pads could be replaced just not as easy as disc psds and never done before so i will have a shop do em.

I have actually replaced those. when I did the drums there was uneven wear and improvement with grease. this is more of a solved post. i rebuilt both differentials and had major front end wobble as it got worse. the drum pads were rusted and now it makes sense that it was to be catching on the drum pads .... to me.. anyway it has smoothed out slightly and i hope more with new pads. freeway speed more than slow over rough road sometimes. nothing on smooth road which made it hard to identify.

I did the rear rotors today and purchased the 12 mm ones and it appears that is correct however not what i am replacing. so that is off and my wheels read 16 j14 so my wheels are 14 also and my axle bolts are 12mm. this may have been the culprit that has been causing my headaches. it appears i need new wheels with 12 mm or maybe theres a spacer thing?

So my bolts turned out to be 14 mm with 2.0 thread rate. My rotors and wheels were larger than that and did not center properly. My new rotors fit really well just not my wheel... I purchased four nuts 14mmx2.0 with a conical end going into the wheel which will center the wheen and more importantly keep it from moving. Maybe tightening the nuts down would have done good. The hub over the wheel is a tight fit. Theres just a mm over on the wheel hole. Which could be moving at rough road as I am feeling. I have not even tested it yet but I wanted to have them centered first.

A significant improvement. New rotors and one after market lug on each wheel has made several improvements. Rough road, driveeays, freeway at 70, slight pull to left eliminated. Im thinking about new wheels and nice lugs. Mine have a few balancing weights on them. Hopefully the new wheel would have perfect fitting bolt pattern and balanced and might even improve more. As of now I am comfortable to drive without feeling like it going to wobble and deteriorate.

My aluminum wheels had a build up, of corrosion on the mounting surface. They were crusty and could prevent, wheel from mounting square. I used a angle grinder, with a wire wheel and cleaned them.
