Hello,
I have replaced both my power booster, master and new rotors all the way around.
I still have alot of pedal travel any ideas?
This doesn't have the adjustable rod like my 99 f150 had.

No half the travel of the pedal until engagement. Has always been this way and has not changed even dince above was performed. As if there where a gap between the booster rod and the piston in the master cylinder. Gence possible wY to adjust the rod to lessen the gap.

The sytem has never been opened except to replace the master cylinder. Even with all original equipment I had the same problem. This has been the case for the last 7 years.

Few things to consider:

1) Have someone pump the brakes to watch the flexible brakes lines at each wheel to see if you possible have a bulging brake line

2) Call a few shops to see if they can perform an ABS bleed. If air gets into the ABS module, and that is very likely when replacing the master cylinder, it can be very hard to get the air out without having a computer to perform an ABS brake cycle while bleeding the brakes.

Brake pedal travel issues can be a pain to track down, easiest way I know to find the problem is to start at the master cylinder and plug the ports ( use correct fittings ) if pedal is soft than master cylinder is bad or needs bleed , if pedal is hard reconnect lines and move to the abs hydraulic unit and so on . I suspect you will find a bad abs hydraulic unit.
