Hi

I have a first generation expedition and I have replaced the factory radio.

As such the second row radio controls that are in the back of the front centre console no longer work.

What I want to do is replace the radio panel with USB plugs.

My thought was to get an inverter and powered it off the side cigarette plug in the centre console and disassemble the inverter and extend its USB plugs to the location where the radio controls were.

Unfortunately when I took the inverter apart the USB plugs are part of the circuitboard.

Below are some pics of my set up.

Any suggestions on how I can get 2 to 4 USB plugs in that area?

Thanks

Did you find an inverter that will work to power the rear panel like that? I'd love to do this to my expedition too.

You could just extend out lighter/charger sockets.

Theres plenty of good effective twin-usb car adapters

Cheap, easy, no inverter needed, can also take out the twin USB and plug in laptops or whatever instead if needed
