High Beam Indicator bulb fell out

My high beam indicator bulb seems to have fallen out of it's home location. On coming traffic was flashing their lights at me a couple nights ago but the indicator light was not on. When I pulled in my driveway I could tell that my high beams were on (but no Indicator light). On closer inspection after I stopped I can see a faint glow inside my instrument panel that comes on /off with the high beam switch. Does anyone know how to get into where the bulb is located on a 2004 Expy EB? The on coming drivers that drive the same roads as me at night will thank you!

You will need to remove the instrument cluster in order to get to the bulbs. There are a few how to videos on youtube on removing the cluster.

Could I remove that light on a 2011 expedition? It is overly bright, and hinders night vision

You could tape over it (masking tape cuts down on glare but still lets a bit thru so you can see if it is on or not).

Or try to vandalize it, but that isnt easily reversible and might trigger some kind of warning (dont know).

on 3rd gens its a soldered LED chip not a bulb, so you cant just experiment with pulling it.

For cluster removal, watch an F150 video on youtube, 2004-2008 afair... the cluster itself IS different and has no removable bulbs, but the mounting scheme is the same
