the 05 is different

info from the owners manual

Your vehicle has a factory set 5–digit code that operates the keyless
entry system. You can also program your own 5–digit personal entry
code. The factory-set code is located:
• on the owner’s wallet card in the glove compartment,
• at your dealer,
• or on the module located under
the right-hand side of the
instrument panel, adjacent to the
passenger compartment fuse
panel.
Note: The 5–digit code (e.g. 12345)
will be in large, BOLD numbers on
the module label.

What is the procedure for resetting the code if we never had it. We purchased our 01 Expy from a used car lot and they had no idea what he code was. Do I use the factory code if it is under the dash as explained above. There was no owners manual included with the car either. All help is appreciated!

for the 01 expy the code is under the dash on the drivers side You can go to owner.ford.com and download a copy of the owners manual and find the directions on how to change the code but the code that is on the box will always be the default code

also if interested;

Ford workshop manual on DVD. Can be obtained from seller "morpheousking" on e-bay. Cost about $15.00 Much better than Clymer, Haynes or Chilton and also includes wiring diagrams

Don't waste your money on a Clymer, Haynes or Chilton Manual.
It is well worth the $15.00 just make sure you get the DVD for your year as the seller has different DVD's for different years
