With all the things our expeditions computer can sense and correct for, how come nobody at Ford ever considered making a part of the sensors to compensate the idle when rolling backwards. Doesn't seem it would be that tough. Some solenoid like carburetors had to keep from stalling. Or for that matter make a strong hill holder clutch or band to hold the vehicle back. Well I guess automatic volume up/down of radio is a more important item!

My 2017 Expy has a Hill hold but it only holds for about 2 seconds and it works right after coming out of park. I noticed this at my WV Cabin driveway. I have a gate to open at entrance on steep incline, my old 95 F150 would roll back a few inches before I got on gas unless I power brake a little, but the new Expy gives me about 2 seconds to get on gas before it rolls back with foot off of brake
