Wife complained that while driving out of work on dry pavement at approximately the abs light started to illuminate randomly. She also said that the brakes were pulsating when this happened and truck started to slow down. She pulled aside and eased on home with no other issues. I believe she said that the abs light was on all the home. When I took the truck for a drive it was normal and no abs light came on. I remember once a long time ago, I was slowing down for a stop sign and the brakes were pulsating but stopped after a few seconds. There are no cels on the truck so I’m lost here and concerned for our safety. Anyone experienced or heard anything like this happening? The truck is an 07 ex eb. We love this beast!!

Check the brake fluid level. I've gotten ABS light while turning only to find the fluid was slightly low.

++ on fluid level as first indicator.
could also be an abs wheel sensor. how many miles & any recent service (of any kind).
does the ABS/Brake light extinguish within a few seconds of startup?

Yep sounds like a wheel sensor that might have some crud around it. The other problem that seems to be popping up on 06-07's, is the Abs pumps starting to go. I'd have a shop or you run a full Abs diagnostic, as well as brake inspection. Want to keep the Mrs happy!

Brake fluid is topped off
Miles are around 137k
Services done this year; all 4 calipers, front brake line and ac condenser due to leaking power steering fluid.
It had no dash lights when I test drove it yesterday. These symptoms happened to me once while I was driving maybe a year ago but went away. I can’t remember from a year ago if any lights were blinking at the time. My wife is pretty much the sole driver of this truck.

Will anything show up on their scanner even though no abs lights are displayed on the dash?

I can probably rule out the brakes, rotors and calipers since they are fairly new.

If a code was present but "corrected it will be stored in memory. They are know as historic codes.

With all the electronics on cars today every owner should buy a good scanner or software that covers the basic systems. Compare the cost of the vehicle up to around $200+ for a good scanner. You'll spend that on the first repair bill.

Also please update your profile to show your age - we need to know if we are talking to fossils, old farts, or millennials.

^ better?

Yeah I have friends with really good scanners. I have one also but I don’t believe it has the capability of reading abs codes. I’ll reach out to one of them and go from there.

Thanks for all the info
