It's probably a huge PITA. The radio in my Fusion was a bit larger than the opening in my 2004 Expedition. There was a Nav system in 2006 (I think) that should fit, you might have to do some franken wiring. Personally, I would go aftermarket. You'll get more functionality for less cost & effort.
Greetings all. I'm looking into getting this hitch step (in black) for my 04. It has the backup sensors, but the hitch is below them. Would this interfere? Anyone have one of these? Thanks.
It seems odd that we would have the same problem and not have the same cause... I also did some wiring in the driver side A-pillar & C-pillar. Maybe something got pinched there?
Yes, you need the H3 kit. I would also recommend getting the relay that powers them from the battery directly. the bulbs *should* be a direct drop in, but mine required a little finesse to get them in.
So far, rear view camera, hard wired V1, Viper 5900, and a Pioneer Avic Z2. At some point I'm going to fiddle with the switch. My guess is that I pulled a wire.
I would not buy them for your high beams, as you can damage the ballasts with repeated flashing. I ordered the DDM 4500K kit, although on my Fusion I had the Apexcone 5000K. The 5000 is more blue. I probably should've ordered that again, but whatever.
Funny (or not), but I have the exact same problem on my 2004 EB. Although I attributed it to one of the items I've installed, although I'm not sure which one. At this point, I'm suspecting it might be the switch in the dash, although I have no basis for that and haven't been able to test it...
... are the signals visible during the day time? I got a set (two, actually), and they just aren't visible. I've had both LED & regular bulbs, and neither is visible until it gets dark. Is that just how it is or is there a different bulb setup i can use?
I had the same thing happen. The dealer will tell you that you need to replace the window. The glass place (I went to Safelite) will re-epoxy the window to whatever holds it in place. I paid under $50.
Very nice. Here's a little easter egg that has nothing to do with the Excursion... Take the battery out of the alarm remote (I'm assuming it's the blue one with the LCD?) and put it back in.
If you don't know how to adjust those headlights, I recently found out that the stock alignment bolt does nothing. You have to turn the ones sticking straight out from the back of each projector. The low beams have two on the bottom (they also adjust them left & right) and the high beams only...
