I wanna give good feedback re: Strutmasters. Their website is strutmasters.com.
My wife's truck with rear airbags has had problems lately. The compressor was getting loud and there seemed to be a leak in one or both of the bags.
Strutmasters has good prices on all their parts, whether they...
My wife's 2000 EB with rear bags has been acting up. The air compressor has been louder and has also been coming on more frequently especially when driving. Occasionally, while at rest, the bags will deflate fairly low and even sometimes uneven side to side.
Today, I pulled out the...
You can actually clean the IAC valve...much cheaper. Just remove the valve (on the back of the engine block) and spray it down the chemtool or whatever and let it sit overnight to dry. Make sure the valve actuates freely.
First off. Welcome.
Second. I would tell you to do a search, but we're having search button issues on the site.
Without getting into it, you might get into this subforum (Performance and Technical Chat) and browse through the threads. You will probably find some good info.
That's how we...
I'm gonna piggy-back on this thread with a similar issue.
I have the same sagging going on with our '00 EB. Overnight or if it's been a while since driving, sometimes the rear is all the way down.
One other thing I noticed is that the compressor seems to kick on more often (when driving)...
You might set up a separate email account (gmail, yahoo, etc.) and communicate that way...I'd do that anyway, even if the forum was working right. It's just another way that communicating with your customers can go wrong.
I wouldn't worry too much about the air flow. These trucks have plenty to spare, IMO.
When I had my Thunderbird, I had way over half of my radiator blocked by a tranny cooler, among other things...It did just fine. I think you'll be just fine.
I've heard both ways on dielectric grease...people who swear by it and those who could care less or recommend against it. I dunno...
I also have the disappearing odometer on my wife's truck. I just recently noticed it.
I didn't think that code readers specifically mentioned O2 sensors. Do you know the exact codes that the reader gave?
Parts stores should not be trusted when they do codes. O2 sensors may not be the fix. They want to sell you something.
I would get the codes and post them up. There are...
Have you done any electrical work? I had the flickering problem on my Thunderbird and it was because I had done a poor job splicing wires that lead to the alternator, specifically the small wire.
Flickering is usually caused, in my experience, by inadequate wiring or if you have a huge stereo...
