    i just installed mine today 8 bolts it was so easy a extra hand would of helped but i did it by myself. it is rated at 6000 pounds and 10000 pounds weight distrbutuions but there was a sticker on it that said 14000 with weight distrbution put a class 3 on your truck you will be much happier

    i just bought a class 3 /4 hitch it is a class 3 with a 6000 pound weight and a 10000 pound weight distribution hitch. for the 150 bucks for the hitch and the 100 bucks for the witring setup i am running. the 250 is alot better then 500 to replace the bumper

    i would say you would need a tune up which if you are mechanicaly inclined you can do it all yourself i changed the plugs on my 2000 with the 5.4. the brake rotors if they have never been changed they will need replaced all the way around. check the ac how it operates it might need recharged...

    if you are replacing it with a new one jut cut the wires and go at it that way about the damn clip not being able to get to it and some time you have to use a wrench or a crowsfoot the socket wotn work all the time auto zone has a set for changing o2 sensor that they rent out.

    my 2000 with the 5.4 and all wheel drive all the time get right at 12.90 -13.30 mpg and it has got better since i seafoamed it and changed some maintance parts trying for 15-19 mpg when its all said and done
