    Yea, it sounds like you got the single filament equivalents. The dual filament equivalents will dim the LED when in running light mode, and run full brightness when brakes (or turn signals) are engaged. If they were sold by Amazon, they shouldn't give you too much trouble.

    How many sets of contacts did they have? Do they come on when stepping on the brakes? When having your running/headlights on?

    The optics in the tail lights make it difficult to get good output on the ground from stock or LEDs. The Cree projector ones are bright to look at if you're within the beam. At least ones posted have the smaller 360 LEDs to provide fill. Mine was just an aluminum body all the way down.

    You can't swap the flasher for an LED flasher? Is this going to your headlights or turn signal bulb? If turn signal, then you'd probably want to put it inline with the turn signal wire (instead of ground or running light wire).

    For the ones on the darker part of the dash (driver side), I would just take that part of the dash off. It's only two screws and there's a few tutorials on here. That way, you can get a better look at how they are attached before attempting the passenger side ones.

    Yea, just sprayed in the connector itself. I did take off the actuator itself to inspect it. While off, I actuated the lock/unlock (with the keyless fob) and saw it worked everytime, so I just put it all back together.

    Mine are still good. Yea, I think we've had this discussion before. My 03 XLT (an early build one) you just pull out the mirror, and the bulbs twist out (typical quarter turn connector). It's a 194/921 bulb. I don't have turn signals in the mirrors. Hah, actually went back through the thread...

    Can't just T-tap it from one of the high beam wires going to the headlight? Heh, that'd be the easiest I'd think, though def. not the cleanest. At least it would minimize the amount of wiring.

    If you've always been using that, then there should be no need to switch. I use Castrol Syntec stuff with the 820S filter with 5000 mile intervals.

    I bought the thickest rubber ones from either Walmart or Sam's (don't remember.) Nice, thick grooves catch most everything and they're easy to clean. And, since they're so heavy, they don't move around.

    Try searching for a 5.4l? (Not being a smartass :P) I didn't think the engines changed much from 03 to 04, unless you got a 3V.
