    The fuel pump if memory serves, is also inside the fuel tank in most cars nowadays, inaccessable to all but the most experienced mechanics. Definitely a job for the Dealer.

    Well, try putting the transmission in neutral first. I know that to go to 4 Lo you need to put the tranny in Neutral, but for 4 Hi it should work in gear up to 55MPH. See if putting it in N does anything. One of the things on expeditions that isn't too uncommon to go bad is the shifter motor...

    Glad it's working for now. Beware though, in a few months you will probably have to replace one or two, we had this problem with our 4.6, and ended up replacing the #s 3, 6,7 coils. It happened a couple months previously, we attributed it to bad gas- ended up being this.
