Too much tightly packed text for me this morning (sorry!) so I may have missed things.
Both my 2007 and 2017 Expeditions criminally leave the power outlets LIVE all the time regardless of the ignition or keys. Anything plugged in will suck power from the battery. I've resorted to...
One round trip will supply all the data you need. Motorboat trailers have different weight distribution and you may not need or want a WDH. Seems I answered this earlier today in another thread? But two guys with new boats is wonderful!

Forget the "screens" and check the switches.
DRLs are extinguished when the headlights are On and are functioning as designed.
The headlights are NOT assuming the headlight switch is set to Off or Auto.

Campers and boats tow differently due to weight distribution.
Motorboat trailers typically only need 5%-10% of their weight on the ball because the engine weight is at the rear and the long distance between the ball and axles (compared to conventional trailers). But 8,000 pounds is still a lot...
According to the invoice my 2017 reflector type headlights were upgraded with these bulbs almost six (6) years ago and are all still working fine:
Low beams: GTR Lighting H11B HID Bulbs, 5000k
... with 35w CANBUS H1D ballasts
High beams: Supernova V.3 LED Headlights, 9005/9145 Bulbs.
These...
The integrated Ford brake controller is every bit as good as my former Prodigy. Been towing the same 6000 pound camper with both 2007 (Prodigy) and 2017 (Ford OEM) Expeditions. The Ford controller spotted a burned out trailer tail light too.

Maybe if you're Hotshotting on a daily basis, otherwise towing up to 9300 pounds (assuming HD Tow) is a breeze. But since tongue weight can be as much as 15% of the trailer weight and a 9300 pound trailer could put nearly 1400 pounds on the ball you can easily exceed max cargo capacity with...
Key is slow down!
Air resistance is the major factor in moving a vehicle with or without a trailer and air resistance is exponential: It's twice at 70mph that it was at 50mph! Other factors are minor.
Premium fuel gets you about a 10% improvement in fuel economy when towing -- maybe. But at...
Looks great!
Want to share the details? Source of the center seat, ease of conversion, carpet, etc?
Are there seatbelt sensors on the 2d and 3d rows? Had Expeditions since 2007 and don't recall any.

Hyperflash is an indicator the bulb is burned out or not there.
Some Ebay/Amazon LEDs -- like installed here -- don't have enough electrical resistance (don't draw enough current) and fool the truck into thinking the bulb is bad. There are specific LEDs that don't hyperflash.

Generator? Really? Electrical issues must be rampant.
My guess (note that word) is the issues were present when the 5-year old SUV was purchased and not the fault of the servicing dealer. Messing with the engine coolant system isn't part of any routine maintenance schedule and the first...
5,720lb dry weight? What's that other than useless fiction? :) It weighed more than that when you pulled it off the dealer's lot.
Often difficult to keep the trailer below GVWR (the legal maximum weight) but use it as your planning number. 7,600 pounds and as just noted you need a minimum...
Slow down. Speed kills fuel economy. And we all know that. :)
A large factor in fuel use is to air resistance. Air resistance is exponential and related to the square of the velocity (speed). The square of 50 (mph) is 2500. The square of 70 is 4900 or two times (2x) the resistance it was...
That's what I use with Forscan. Clicked the link and Amazon says I "last purchased September 3, 2017."
I didn't need to mess with the brake controller but you can compare my factory settings to yours. I'd only change the single digit on the two lines noted by Cyclone.
I purchased this to...
The ECU (IPC) data in my 2017 with factory installed HD Tow (which included the brake controller):
IPC 720-07-01 0001 8800 00B8
IPC 720-04-01 0042 0002 0070
The source for the Module Build Data (As-Built) seems to be dead but I'll bet someone has the new, correct link. Just needs your VIN...
An aftermarket brake controller should work in theory but the OEM controller is superior in every way in my use plus it's sitting right in front of me and displays useful information on the instrument panel. I believe several folks here have added it seemingly as easily as extracting the coin...
I don't know if this is specific to my 2017 HD Tow package but there's an "press thingie" on the screen when in reverse gear that zooms in on my trailer ball making it easier to get the ball under the trailer coupler.
