What to look for when buying a gen3 expy
'07 fuel pump went out.. Ouch...Had local shop replace fuel pump. $820. At his mercy..won't start. The components are starting to go out one by one at 122 K miles..sux After new plug 110 K '07 motor has been awesome . I'm looking to replace.- Franklie

Expy re-sell prices are high
Maybe it the low cost of gas. Maybe the new model is, too expensive.. The lack of new body on frame SUVs in the market is surprisingly low. Reliability is very high on Expys too. The prices on re-sell Expys are up! Whatcha' think gang?:321:- Franklie

3rd Gen is great. The crash damage is a concern. If fenders..no prob. Frame damage..scary. Find one with no wreck damage, man, unless you intend to go off road a lot. Starter key gets stuck forward after ignition
My '07 key FOB gets stuck forward at ignition. Starts fine but keeps ignition turning. I have to turn off then try again hoping it does not stick all the way forward.I don't know what normally makes it retract after ignition. Maybe a spring inside is not working. 2015 looks good Good they kept product close to Expy we all love. Motor is the big shift. I think we all expected that to happen and hope for the best. MPG should be improved and that's positive. The fact that the changes are subtle should help current Gen 3 on re-sell value too.- Franklie

100,000 miles service
I'm near 100K and never had to do much to my Expy ,07. Just oil, tires , battery, oil & air filters. Knock on wood, been a great truck. Guess now's time for: fuel filter, belts, plugs. Anyone see a need for other priority service. i'll check FoMo manual too. The brake pads are still good...- Franklie

No to cosmetic changes by FoMo Remember minor cosmetic changes by FoMo to grill or any ext feature tend to date and devalue your sizable investment in your Expy. I'll deal with the little dislikes and thank FoMo for not making changes that cost me resell value. :chillpill:- Franklie

Duel Fuel CNG Conversion
Erratic price of gasoline has made me research CNG duel fuel as an option. The 2 scuba sized tanks in the rear are a big negative. If I could mount a spare on back and use recessed spare tire hull for tank it might work better. You tube has a few vids on it too. 1999 Expy featured CNG...- Franklie
