    '05 XLT Sport changes

Like I said early on, the shock is listed for the F150-2wd, Bilstein doesn't list one for the '03-'06 Exp-2wd. I set the lift at maximum, which should be around 2" total. After driving it around 20 or so miles in town, I'm very pleased with it, only slightly stiffer then stock, but the new...

The Bilstein leveling shocks are finally installed, thanks to the guys at my local Big-O-Tires, I take them a lot of business, with my race car mostly, getting alignments. -Jon

    '05 XLT Sport changes

It is a 2wd. I've done two rally recces so far, pre-running desert rally races, no problems at all, even with the old tires. I haven't taken the Exp off road yet, with the new rubber, but I expect it will do even better. In the desert SW, as long as there isn't any rain, the ground is pretty...

Project #2, installing the Bilstein shocks, nice dice. The spring compressor I have had no chance of moving the spring, let alone compressing it an extra 1-1/2" for the lift position. I guess I'll have to find someone to pay to do it. -Jon

First part of this weekends upgrades are done, the new tires... Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Load E (10 ply), stock size (265/70-17's) I went heavy duty for off road durability and to take the beating tires get when hauling the car trailer. -Jon

    '05 XLT Sport changes

This weekend, I'm hoping to get some changes done to my Exp, new tires and hopefully, finally get those Bilstein front shocks installed. I'm going to try and do it myself, if my spring compressor can handle the front springs, I've only done compact cars in the past with it. McPhearson struts...

For the chrome, I just used a mdeium grit scotch-brite pad to dig in a bit. I stll haven't gotten the Bilsteins in yet, I'm hoping to very soon, but now that it's over 100 degrees, my motivation is fading a bit. I'm thinking I might have to pull the stock ones, and take them somewhere to have...

    '05 XLT Sport changes

The Exp is running great now, smooth idle (after cleaning the TB bore) and getting the new spark plugs and one coil pack. I've also run a bottle of X44 (or something like that) injector cleaner through one tank of gas. This weekend, I modified how the front end looks, less "Soccer Mom", more...

    mall crawling 101

Sorry to see you took a big hit. I can feel it in my shoulder, snapping into the seat belt... The damage doesn't look too bad off, hopefully it's basically cosmetic and the bent chassis section stayed ahead of the suspension. -Jon

    '05 XLT Sport changes

Had my first trouble with my Exp. Engine code, P0306, #6 misfire. I took it to the dealer, since I bought an extended warranty. Failing coil and a couple of bad plugs. So, they are replacing all plugs and the coil. Of course it's not covered under warranty, on my bill now... Hopefully, it...

Finally sold it locally. I ended up going through the wholesale dealer I bought my Exp from. I guess I should have done that months ago. -Jon

Well, I made my trip out to the coast over the weekend, but we didn't get around to getting the new Bilsteins installed. I got the Hawk HPSs and new rotors on the back along with a Magnaflow 5x8 oval x 30" long muffler installed. Anyone else have the stock rear pads check up their rotors...

    paint job price

Same goes for Earl, but prep is key. If you take the time to sand down all the loose, flaking paint with smooth blends into good paint, then take off all the trim, lights, taillights, etc., you can get a decent job out of those shops. This is how I have my rally cars done at Earl Schieb, I...

    '05 XLT Sport changes

I picked up and installed a drop in K&N last night. It doesn't make a huge difference in power, but certainly a nice little bump that gives my Exp a smoother power delivery. It was always so switch like from a dead stop. Two weeks from now, I'll be installing the front shocks, replacing the...

    2005 F150 SuperCab in Phx

I guess most of that could be infered, but shouldn't be. Title in hand, no lean holder. 70K miles on the truck Spark plugs were changed when they put in the short block and replaced the cam phazers. I paid extra for new plugs, no labor though. Phoenix, AZ (north end of town to be...

    my 98 expedition

Gotcha... It just looks like part of the bumper that would/should never seen any kind contact. It's got huge d-ring mounts for recovery points. I sort of guessed it was more for support for the hitch than anything else. I'm not really into rock crawling, so I'm not sure what kind of other...

    my 98 expedition

Great looking Exp., now that it's been re-claimed by you. (and the cat) And very nice fab work on the Jeep bumper. 1/4" wall tubing seems heavy to me, did it serve a greater purpose, it doesn't seem obvious to me..? -Jon
