    Urgent matter from potential buyer

I have had several Expeditions and several Explorers, and my wife has driving the current bodystyle (2015) Chevy Suburban, so I can comment on both platforms for you. I have always loaded up my vehicles with the top options packages, so I have experience with the electronics as well...

    Powercode Remote Start Accessory

Question: I have the Powercode Remote Start on my 2010 Expedition Limited, and the owners guide references two modes that it can work in. First mode (set now from factory) is where you press the button for several seconds, doors lock and engine starts. You can remotely unlock the door, but...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Mine are in the back panel, but I regularly carry a small 300psi tire pump underneath one of the second row seats (captains chairs in 2nd row) inside its original box and they close fine, so any small amp should fit easily. Hope that helps!

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Upgraded Speakers for 1st & 2nd row JMCIVER: Can you tell me what parts you used to upgrade your speakers in the first & second row? I might look at doing that down the road to improve the overall quality of the sound system over the OEM speakers. I really need to do this in my Shelby GT...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Milam: The D pillars for the Regular vs EL are different. It is due to where the seatbelt anchors are located behind the D-pillar. It is much lower on the EL than the Regular since the attachment point is direct over the passenger's shouldler. I have some pictures of the D pillars with...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

The work at the shop for the extra parts and install charges were approx $400. The parts from Ford (the Navigator D Pillars) match the interior color EXACTLY - something I was dead set on having. I didn't want this to look like an aftermarket install or have it wind up being a hack job on my...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Milam - you will be very pleased with the sound output. Since there is a sub in the back, the small speakers blend the sound nicely. The ones I purchase put out a full range of sound, but not much on the bottom end. All the Audio shops that I went to with my speakers that I bought from Ford...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Those won't work with factory D pillar housing. The speakers are special mount and only 2.25 wide. Not much room back there either, and those speakers were only about 2 inches deep as well. bhaycraft had been trying to get the D pillars for the EL and having trouble with finding the parts...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

The Speakers are THx certified speakers. They are about 2" speakers, but they can deliver all the sound you will want and need. I'll see if I can find some copies of the pictures I sent bhaycraft when I received the first set of speakers. As for the trim panels, I bet you could order...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

That is an idea, but the only problem with that method is when the rear space is filled with suitcases, etc on trips, the kids in the 3rd row would not be able to hear much from the speakers. I liked the placement of the factory pieces in the Navigator...just wish Ford would put these in all...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

Pictures of Installed Speakers Here are some pictures of my installed speakers in the 3rd row...first two are Right Rear D pillar and third one is Left Rear (sorry about funny picture angle). You can see that the factory panels place the speaker at the optimum height and angle to maximize the...

    Adding Rear 3rd Row Speakers

OK - Time for an update...bhaycraft and I have been emailing back and forth over the past 2 months as this project got done for me and here are the basic notes for anyone that wants them. First, i ordered the individual speakers from the local F/LM dealer, and yes they were the $112 cost...

    what brands of oil ???

I'll put a well maintained Ford against an import any day. I sold my 2000 Expedition EB with the 5.4 to my Dad at 125,000 miles. Then he sold it to my brother at 150,000 miles. My brother is horrible at maintaining vehicles, but has over 220,000 on it now with no major problems. I owned...

    2010 Expedition Stereo Question

I also have a 2010 Expedition Limited with Sync/Nav/DVD system. I'm in the process of doing some digging right now. I've been trying to get a second set of rear speakers in the "D" pillar - back by the third row seats. I was going to get this done before our trip out of town that we just...

    Anzo Headlights / Tail lights

You are right, it does have the Black out headlights, but I was looking for something with greater light output...trying to get as close to HID as possible. I thought the Anzo lights might be better in that catagory, but it sounds like you don't think they are worth anything other than...

    Anzo Headlights / Tail lights

Has anyone installed the Anzo Headlights on their Expy? I was interested in seeing pictures of an installation when done, especially a 2007 to 2010 model so I can get an idea of what they look like compared to stock. Any comments on appearance or how different the headlight performance would...

    New Epxy finally home!

I took all the kids to school this morning in the new ride....and the wife thought I was doing her a favor!!! The kids thought they were riding in a high class limo!! I felt like Bill Cosby when he does his "Dad is Great - Gives us chocolate cake" monologue. It's amazing the quality that...
