Towing with Standard towing and 3:31 gears?
You can add 2 pins to the existing plug on the drivers inner fender, then run the 2 wires to the rear. That is what I am doing on my 09 this weekend, I am picking up the pins tommorow (found a ford dealer with a good parts man) the pins are under $2.50 each with 3 inches of wire already crimped...- Ray Jr.

PLug under Left side back bumper?

Radio wire?
1998 Expy EB, Yesterday the radio stopped working, I checked all fuses and all check good. It has a stock radio in it now but it had a kenwood system in it before I owned it and a lot of wires have been cut/spliced/scotch locked. Thanks, No records with it, already did fluids and filters. Tranny fluid looked and smelled ok when I changed it. We will be towing our Pontoon boat with it and it only weighs around 4000 lbs with trailer and gear. But I will most likely add the tranny cooler as extra insurance. We actually...- Ray Jr.

Brake Controller?
On the 5 wire flat plugs for use with surge brakes the 5th wire is blue and it goes to back up lights. I assumed it was what the op was talking about since he said it was taped to the harness wiring. Sorry was posting while half asleep.- Ray Jr.

Brake Controller?
The blue wire should be back-up lights. If you have surge brakes on the trailer the back-up light wire will stop the brakes from locking up when you back it up.- Ray Jr.
