SSV 3rd row
I have yet to actually look at an SSV up close but with the pricing of these trucks so reasonable, would love to figure out a way to drop a 3rd row in these trucks. Has anyone figured out how?
For some reason I am not able to post to the for sale section of the site and just wanted to advertise these 2 items. I have sold my Expedition:

same boat
I am in the same boat as you are.
But I have an 03 which is down on horsepower even more.
I just towed my 28' (approx 6k) trailer for the first time loaded last weekend and it did ok, and it DEFINITELY did not break any land speed records. I have my WDH to the last setting and...
my trailer
I have only had 1 chance to tow with this trailer and it was about 80 miles and the truck did not do too bad. Can' t wait to get out there this summer with it. I do have concerns on the tongue weight.

same issue
I have the same type of issue going on. I am wanting to tow my 30' travel trailer more safely and was hoping to find some other types of towing enhancements - along with a WDH- but everywhere I looked, I was not able to find any.
In the meantime I am looking at E350 vans but...
I am sure someone in the past has posted this, but I wanted to share it with everyone.

it is a great resource to get some build info on your truck. I think it may only go back 10 years but I could be wrong.
ENJOY.
Thanks for the info. I have been using a WDH for years but was just looking for a little bit extra insurance.
We have considered an Excursion and I have a friend who wants to sell me his 2000 but just need to figure out if my wife can handle it as a daily driver.
Has anyone done or considered adding the deep trans to their Expy?

I feel it would be beneficial for towing, etc.
any new news?
I was just curious to see if you had any updates on your trailer quest?
I have been towing a 3000lb hybrid camper for years with my 03 XLT FX4 with no issues, and now we are really wanting to get a bigger camper in the:
28-30' length and under 6k with it loaded - really want...
I have a 2003 Expy and I just installed Powerstop rotors. The truck has the 2007 F150 FX4 rims on it.
The brake install went fine. For some reason the brake pad retainer clip that spans the length of the caliper vertically is scraping against the rim on both sides. There is no room to bend...
This is probably a DUMB question, but I would assume my 03 Expy has the 9.25 rear axle and not the 8.8, correct?
I am wanting to do a fluid change on both axles and the transfer case and I want to make sure I buy enough fluid the first time.
Thanks
So if the popping only occurs from when you want rear air (between either the roof or floor) I would need to replace the directional unit, right? At rockauto.com it shows Dorman 604213, is that the correct one? A part of this series of posts talks about the Dorman 604202 but that is used to...
Last Thursday the wife calls me at work to tell me that the wipers in my 03 Expedition will not stop going - even when the key is off. Father in law came over and pulled the fuse. I decided to take off the front filler cover and I sprayed out with electrical spray the connection off the wiring...
Well, finally got off my rear end did a serious cleaning to the Expedition. The only modifications I have done are a brake controller, and the rims. I am not much of a guy for aftermarket rims. So I found a cheap set of F150 FX4 rims from an 06 that a guy wanted out of his garage. I then did...
I have a stock 03 Expy with the FX4 package that came with the chrome rims and 265/790/18 rims.
About 2 months ago I bought a set of F150 FX4 stock rims off an 05 F150 which are 18".
Discount Tire is concerned on the backspacing difference of I think 4mm. Also looks like in order to keep...
