The starting issue could be the two bolts on the steering column. If you shifter is also loose I would check those. If you do a search for loose shifter on this site the first thread has a good pic of the bolts I'm talking about. Link below...
So my passengers side window is off the track and looking at the drivers side they seem to be caulked into the clips. Was wondering what would be a good adhesive to keep it in place? I've tried some windshield stuff but after about 2 weeks it fell off again.
Added some mercon and the sound is gone must have just been low. No aftermarket intake or tb spacer. Hopefully it was just a little low on tranny fluid thanks again guys for the suggestions.
Not sure if someone added a Tb spacer before me but this just started after owning my Expy for a year now. I'm going to pick up some mercon today and add some to see if that takes care of it. if not I guess I'll be taking it in to get checked out since were about 700 miles from home. Thanks for...
First off Merry Christmas to everyone.
the wife and I took a trip to Indiana yesterday and about 6 hours into our trip we noticed a whistling sound coming from under the hood of the Expy. I pulled over to check some thing out and couldn't find anything and it wouldn't make the sound while we...
Mine idles a lot better now and of course my CEL is no longer on.
Toms I wish I had looked under the truck before I opened the socket because that's exactly how I did mine 7/8 open ended wrench.:flamingdevil:
Just did mine last weekend. A word of advice don't buy the socket from NAPA, I paid almost the same amount for the socket as the O2 sensor. I figured out why Advanced Auto was sold out, $13 at Advanced $29 at Napa.
I think black would look good. Then you could add the overlays on the dash http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Expedition-Wood-Chrome-Dash-Trim-Kit-Parts-97-99-/170558726381?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1998|Make%3AFord|Model%3AExpedition&hash=item27b617a0ed
I'm not sure about the XLT's but what about the space where the factory amp is located with the mach 1 system in the EB's. I replace my sub recently and if i had taken out the factory amp and the mount for the sub there would have been a lot of room to mount amps.
So my new lower rear control arms came in today and was wondering what size bolts I need to buy. I got the cheap ones off of ebay which are made by pmt but they don't have the hardware included. The nut is a 20mm and the head of the bolt is an 18 mm if they were standard I could figure out the...
Thanks for the welcome. That would be my one complaint about the 1st gens they should have put bigger tires on them to fill up the wheel well some more.
Hey guys I've posted a few times but never came here to introduce my self. I've got a 98 EB 5.4 4x4 with 198,000 miles on it. Bought in in Jan of 11 been happy with it so far not too many issues. I haven't done any mods to it yet need to change the rear control arms then I'll start thinking...
