Lifted Expeditions of EF.com (picture post)

Hey guys been a while. Working a lot now so don't do much besides sleep! Took my money from plowing this year and got myself some new rims, I decided to go with the blacked out look. I'm thinking 35's are in the future. 3/2 Readylift, 17x8.5 MB Wheels TKO, 285/70/17 Treadwright M/T

    How dark is factory tint?

20% will be your closest match to the rear windows when looking at them from the outside. From the inside you will notice a slight difference looking out.

    For Alaskan...Expy with Pull Plow

With the mirrors on the expy I get within 6 inches of the garage no problem.

    For Alaskan...Expy with Pull Plow

Down where I plow almost every truck I pass has one these days. Couple years ago you never saw another truck with one, I think the competition is trying to step up.

The cylinder and push arm are connected to the hitch. The blade is connected to the frame with pins to tabs welded in. From what I've seen almost all back blades are mounted in the same way.

    Which spacers are better?

I've had both and haven't noticed any differences as far as functioning. I prefer the steel ones though, no good reason why.

    For Alaskan...Expy with Pull Plow

Not easy to get the setup on our generation. The front plow required a lot of custom work on the mount before it would fit because they don't make a mount for 2nd gen expeditions. Plus it needed a lift to keep the mount from dragging on the ground!

    For Alaskan...Expy with Pull Plow

The box behind the expedition is the back blade. Most trucks only have a front plow and pull in with the truck facing the garage and drag the snow out backwords. With the back blade I back in to the garage door and pull everything out to the street. There is no link for the one on my...

    For Alaskan...Expy with Pull Plow

About $200 in steel and another $300 for the pump and parts to make. Can't recommend a back blade enough! I do my 50 drives in under 4 hours because of it.

    285/70/17 on 2nd gen?

They'll fit on the rear with no lift but they will rub in the front. I would suggest atleast 2.5 spacer in the front. I was running just the 2.5 in the front and had rubbing until I went with the 3/2

    Sub box shopping list?

x2 for pre-drilling the holes first. If you don't you may split the MDF and that will just piss you off, trust me.

Ready Lift 3" Front Strut Spacers

I have Ready Lift 3" Strut Spacers for the front of a 2003-2009 Expedition. The box said it will fit some f150 models as well but the box is in the expy. I do not have the rear spacers for sale since they are on my expy. $125

    Difference in amps?

It really depends on the quality of your amplifier. High quality amplifiers will not put any strain on your electrical system at these resistance levels, but if you don't put in the extra couple bucks and get a cheaper brand then you are correct!

    Sealed or vented sub box?

+1! It's pretty cheap, I think last time I built a box it was 20-25 bucks for a 4x8 sheet. And I generally had someone there cut up the sheet for me to my specs so I didn't have to do much cutting at home. They used to give you 4 or 5 cuts for free.

    Sealed or vented sub box?

I generally don't recommend bandpass boxes unless they're going to have one made by a pro for their specific subwoofers. They have to be built and tuned correctly or they may not sound good at all.

How is this amp for the price?

Like walnuts posted you can get it much cheaper or get a better amp for tat price. I saw the one you're looking at on ebay for less than 80 bucks brand new. The fact that they're charging that much for an open box item that has imperfections would make me stay away from them.

    Sealed or vented sub box?

It depends on what kind of bass you're looking for and how much space you have to spare. Sealed boxes have a smaller air space requirement then ported boxes so Sealed boxes are much smaller than ported. From the Sealed box you will get a tighter bass and somewhat better sound quality...
