Go to your local salvage and get a tranny or craigslist and type "PartingOut" whatever vehicle your searching for. You can also look up Monstertrans.com for a very good rebuild kit.
I just read about a person who just had finished what you will be doing, this guy is a freaking Mcguyver. His Id is MGTSLDR38 on this site he has pictures and all. check it out.
Corey, Put some risolin into you engine and run at 2k rpms for about 5min and let it sit until morning and repeat with the running of the engine for 5 min and let sit until after lunch. I had done this to two of my trucks and the lifters popped back up. I know you are grasping at straws, but...
You are a freaking Maguyver. Man I am so impressed with all your work. I need friends like you. Good shit. What you do makes me think I want to do it, but I would have a scrap pile sitting in the garage for months and then I would end up buying a mustang Gt 500 **** it. You rock dude.
I would go with a junk yard it should be less then a hundred bucks and if it goes out then keep replace it again. You can buy a reman. one for about $6-$9hun w/ $300 core. Maybe Craigslist look for "parting out" good price be about $150- $250 tops. Hope it helps.
No just leave it in awd it won't hurt anything, although I surprised you say its sluggish. You don't have the lag now that you are not turning 4 wheels so it sould be much better and steering in a parking lot should be awesome not having the front shft engaged to give you that bump 4 wheel drive...
You guys sound like mad scientists and shit. It sounds like you heading to a good spot though. MGTSLDR38, Is that a flic of yo expedition. sitting so lo on 22s -304 40? Are yo lowered or is that do to the 22s. It seems like a good look, I would like to know whats been done. I have been 4x4...
HonkyTonkMan,
Your problem seems to be the seal, when your vehicle warms up the seals expand some enough to hold things where they need to be. When your vehicle is cold the seals shrink. That being said I believe it maybe your bands as well, when they get worn they stretch and it becomes...
Be very careful about buying rims off Craigslist. See if the seller will go with you to have them balanced and checkec for hops. I speak from experiece I had a Ranger and bought rims from a guy on Craigslist and it was a 2 hour drive for such a deal and ALL 4 rims had hops. $400 garbage.
Your problem was first using that aluminum oxide crap in your system. Things like that add extraload to your propellers of your waterpump and can over all harm your system. That crap only heats up and melts, then goes to the leak. The majority of this stuff never settles and stays flowing in the...

I do believe the clock spring may of broke or yes has gotten itself too tight. Although I can't imagine that happening if the steering wheel has not been taken off. The clicking could be the tab the turn signal switch has raised due to a loose screw or something. Make sure when...
Sorry to say, but it's already Camo. Have you seen how many of us there are at the paking lots of Kmart, Walmart and the likes. Damn we need to reall stand out. I would imagine Walnuts4x4 never gets lost. Nice looking rig.
Just wanted to say thanks. I love our armed forces. I am a medical reject from the Marines. Discharged Nov.1999 when I bought my Expedition. God Bless America!!
I believe you need to change the coil as well. I have also from experience had changed a bad coil and still came up with the same problem. I found out that water was leaking into that coil and fowling the spark. Just make sur you use plenty of boot grease when replacing it.
I would talk to a mechanic to see if it is possible to bypass a an AC compressor, maybe by unpluging the compressors electrical, but you might throw a code. I would suggest to replace the condenser. Good luck post to what you do and if it fixes the problem.

I have a 1999 Expedition and Knock on wood but I will be driving it from Colorado to East Pennsylvania and so far as of owning it I have done a great tune up, had some codes pop when the damn coil boots in cylinder 6 and 8 went crazy. I also am replacing the pitman arm and Idler arm tom...
