Engine oil question
Thanks for the replys. I use Mobile one full synthetic in my chevy truck, but always have used conventional in the wifes expy so I was just wonderin. The Expy has had the clattering noise goin on at startup for a couple years now, and I have always used fram filters. Kinda wonderin if they are...- racnaa

Engine oil question
Is it ok to change from a conventional oil to a full synthetic on the 5.4's? This one is pushing 175000 miles and still stock. Also what is a good filter that wont allow oil to run back into it when not runnin overnight? Thanks.- racnaa

New here from Winchester Va,
New fom Winchester Va. 2000 Expedition, bought in 2003 with 64000 miles on it. now has 170000 miles replaced one tranny, engine still stock, recently replaced all 8 coils and plugs with accels. riding on 265 75 16 definity dakota M/T's with 2 inch lift springs and new shocks.- racnaa

Accel coilpacks
I had 2 or 3 go bad at once, so I decided to replace all of them. The only ones the part store had 8 of were the accels. Plus to my surprise they were cheaper then the motorcrafts. I think I may have screwed up the clip on the harness. I have it wire tied on now and she is purrin like a kitten...- racnaa

Clip broken on # 3 dang thing fell off. Now just gotta figure out if its the coil pack or the harness. of course it had to be one of the worst to get to. GRRRRR- racnaa

Random Misfire
Changed the valve. All was good for a few hours today. Then on the way home from dinner, i lost a cylinder again. I guess one of the 8 brand new Accel coil packs let go!!!!!! Geez!!! this thing is pissin me off!!:flamingdevil:- racnaa

Random Misfire
Ok, I have a 2000 expedition 5.4 L stock. I have replaced all the spark plugs, all coil packs and boots, and I still have a random misfire. Not enough to throw a check engine light on, but enough to make it idle sloppy, and be felt at around 2000 rpm's. Any Ideas? Gettin kinda frustrated and...- racnaa
