We replaced ours when we bought out our lease. The OEM tires are garbage. We threw on a set of BFG Trail Terrain and have been extremely happy with them.
I ended up going with BFG TRAIL-TERRAIN T/A for ours to replace the horrific Dynapro's. They were one of the few decent tires at the stock 22 size. So far after a trip from Michigan to Florida they have been great.
We get between 10 and 12 pulling our 23 foot travel trailer. I've gotten up to 15 before but that was going an average of 55.
I also lock out a couple of gears on the transmission to keep it out of boost and have the transmission do the work instead.
I'm actually not going to lie I kind of liked our hitch basket. I purchased it originally for our annual 2,000 mile hunting trip. But have since used it camping and for smaller loads that I don't need the whole utility trailer for. We also have a Yakima mega load warrior roof basket.
Mine don't move at all. They snap in to the pegs on the floor and stay put.
Like the previous poster, I've had weathertech's in a lot of my previous vehicles but decided on the Maxx's because the offer much more coverage.
I learned with my 2015 F150 with tht 3.5 is that you need to lock out transmission gears to keep the turbos out of boost. Keeping them spooled up drives coolant Temps through the roof when towing.
Since my drivers side running board no longer works I am thinking about attempting to replace them with something similar to this.

I like the look of them and think they will tuck up under the door similar to...
So yesterday I discovered a coolant leak on my 2008 Expedition. I do not 'think' that it is a blow head gasket as I do not have any symptoms (loss of power, not starting, milky oil). All the coolant seems to be located on the passenger side and pooling in the spark plug wells.
Any ideas on...
The regulator is actually pretty easy to replace. I've done both the front doors and its like night and day. You can order aftermarket regulators off of Amazon.
I'm looking to increase the light output on the front of my vehicle and was wondering if anyone has installed one of those LED light bars either in the front bumper/grill or on the luggage rack area?
I think I saw a picture here once of a light bar installed in the front bumper but cannot...
Makes my 2008 with 150,000 miles on it not look so bad. Major things I have had to do:
- Spark Plugs
- Both differential seals
- Both front axle shaft seals
- Both front window regulators replaced
- Brakes and rotors on all 4 tires
- Replace all 3 idler pulleys and belt tensioner
Besides the...
In response to the hatch switch, why do you not like it? (I'm genuinely wondering).
My wife has a Grand Cherokee with the switch in almost the same location, though recessed much more and difficult to hit on the first try. Where would you prefer it to be located, the hatch itself?
As far as...
