08 expedition heater blend door actuator Auxiliary
That one may be in the back by the rear ac. I've changed mine out a couple yrs. ago. Take off ac panel and you'll see it toward front.- igneous

Trying not to lose temper at dealer
Dealers hammer service mgr's to get a minimum of $500 from each car that come in, so if they're low on the quota of this amount they may 'adjust' a few things that don't need adjusting.- igneous

Used Car Checklist
Definitely pay the 99$ for 6 carfax's if you're seriously looking and run all the ones you're looking at first, before setting up appt. to see/drive. THis way you can weed out wrecked ones or suspicious 'coincidences'.- igneous

2008 EL, 5.4L engine ticking
Just change to 5W30 oil. I tried 5W20 a few yrs ago and it made the engine tick. I run nothing but Mobil 1 5W30 in all my vehicles, except the new explorer since it's still under warranty I go to the dealership for service.- igneous

A/C will not turn off
Yeah, the I have the older unit with no touch screen...just buttons. Thanks for the video, it may be the same issue because it has to be something controlling the blower.- igneous

A/C will not turn off
Had an issue this past weekend with the 08 Expy. The air would not turn off at all. If I turned it off it would blow on high, and if I hit the Auto button it would turn down a bit but still blowing. All I could do was close the vents. I'm sure it's a relay or something running the fan, so has...- igneous

Oil Change Frequency
Just like Greg S above, I get everything from walmart and it's cheap. I don't like the 5w-20 though...makes engine tick more than 5w-30. If it were new I'd be using the 20 weight. I sent sample to Blackstone Labs a few yrs. ago and Mobil 1 Extended Mileage 5w-30 had 8500 miles on it. All...- igneous

New Tires
Just got the Michelins mentioned already and what a difference compared to the Pirelli scorpions. You're lucky to get 45k out of the Pirelli's and the Michelins should go 70k+. They're expensive, but tires are the one place where you don't go cheap.- igneous

Differential fluid on 2wd
I used Valvoline synthetic 75w-140. I has the LS additives, but don't really think it matters in non LSD. Funny thing, the manual states it holds 4.5 pints, but could only get 2 bottles (4 pints) in it before it started leaking. Got to looking and the drain plug is not low enough to drain...- igneous

Differential fluid on 2wd
Another question...my door jamb doesn't have the "L" in the axle code for Limited slip, so I assume no friction modifier needed. I have the RSC (roll stability control), so limited slip probably does not work with this option, correct? I'll check that with the dealership if I go with Ford...- igneous
