    Oil cooler problems mine was mixing oil and coolant. easy fix and great way to get a good deal on a truck. I just deleated mine and now the filter is on the block.

    blocked heater core. you can try to back flush it but dont use to much pressure or you will cause it to leak.

    those bolts have locktight on them from the factory a little heat and a half inch impact and they come out with just your hand holding the shaft.

    yes you have to pull the trans and diassemble it but you wont need to take apart any of the clutch packs not that bad of a job just alot of time and hard work.

    dont waste your money on the trans range sensor your planetery gear set let go thats why it wont go into park and no flashing od light because it is a hard part not something that is electric or monitered by the pcm

    to remove the control head you just pull it down it is held in place with metal style push clips then you can change your bulb

    if you have acess to live data you can pull up both o2 sensors and watch them and use a can of carb cleaner and spray downn all vacume hoses and conections and the intake when you find the vacume leak the o2s will flat line lean and the engine idle will go up.

    if you have 2 programed keys all you need to do is cycle the first key until theft light goes out usaly about 1 or 2 seconds then do the same with the other key then do it with the unprogramed key. do all this fast if you take to long between key swithces it wont work.

    No o-ring that is on the long part of the tube that goes into it. It is a press fit from the factory they tell you to do not remove during overhaul. I siliconed it today and i am going to let it set up for 48 hours before refilling trans

    I have a 98 expi with a 4r100 trans it leaks at the short tube on the trans i know the tube is pressed in from the factory but it has since come loose any body else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it. I am thinking of just using some silicone on it. :emotions122:

    I have a 98 eddy. 5.4 4x4 i get about 12.3 mpg i thought that was bad my 2001 f150 4x4 5.4 got 16.5

    I just did my heater core in my 98 eddy i have bin a mechanic for 20 years 15 of which were at a ford dealer and it still took me two full days not a job for the novice

    if only half the lights are out you probably just need to change the bulbs in the cluster not a hard job just did mine in my 98

    sounds like a shifted belt in one of the tires. try rotating them to the back of the truck and drive.

    I have a 98 expedition and the steering is too easy it makes it hard to drive. I checked the front end and all is tight. The tires are factory size and they are goodyear wrangler ats. I want to lift it but not with the steering the way that it is. Has anybody had this problem i think the...
