Honestly, except for what I think are better looks, the newer Expy's are worse in terms of 'built ford tough'. I can't see any advantage to the 3V vs my Ex's 2V - most of the time the 2V feels like the stronger engine.- DetroitDarin

2000 expedition help.. stuck in 4 lo and Speedo issue
The OP can't be stuck in 4 Lo; because to even GET to 4 Lo the truck has to be stopped, in N, and the brake pedal must be applied.- DetroitDarin

Looking to Buy a 2nd Gen Eddie -- Years/Options to Look For?
I'd stay away from the 3V engine if I did it over again; also I think 2004 they were still drive by cable - the old fashioned way. Now it's drive by wire and the computer ultimately decides how much gas to give the engine regardless of the pedal. Check out the radiator support - holds up...- DetroitDarin
